You may wonder, "What can I do to help save the ocean from plastic pollution?"
Thumbs Down :(
There are things that we do that are not good for the ocean.
Simply put, whenever we use plastics designed to be thrown away after one use, we are contributing to the problem.
SUP's (single-use plastics) such as plastic water bottles, plastic shopping bags, plastic utensils and straws find their way into the watershed, and eventually into the ocean, no matter how far from the ocean you may be...
Thumbs Up! :)
There are things that we can do that are good for the ocean.
Instead of accepting and relying on single-use plastics, we can choose to refuse them, and instead use re-usable alternatives. This is healthy for ourselves and for the world.
We can use steel water bottles, metal utensils for take-along meals, and bring re-usable shopping bags to the grocery store. If you think about how throw-away plastics have enabled some bad habits to develop, you'll notice them more in your everyday life. Once you notice, then you can find a way to end your use of these items with the 4 R's: Refuse, Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle.
